He is a sought after teacher and clinician across the Northeast, currently serving as Studio Teacher of Trumpet, Director of Brass Chamber Music, and jazz coach at Williams College and Bennington College. Tom is an active freelancer, working in all styles throughout New York, New England, and beyond. He currently serves as principal trumpet with the Berkshire Symphony, plays regularly with the Vermont Symphony, and performs every Sunday afternoon with his jazz trio at Julius’ in the West Village of Manhattan. Mr. Bergeron holds an MM and an AD in Trumpet Performance from Yale, where he received the John Swallow Award for excellence in brass playing and won the Woolsey Hall Concerto Competition. Thomas also holds a BA in Business Management from The Isenberg School at UMass. While at Yale, Tom served as Assistant Director of the Yale Jazz Ensemble and as a TA for Allan Dean, teaching Yale College trumpet students.
