Investigators on Friday released a scientist detained at Miami International Airport after screeners spotted a metal canister in his luggage that looked like a pipe bomb, prompting an evacuation, a senior law enforcement official said.

LOS ANGELES — Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” hit a home run with their new baby boy. A spokeswoman for the couple says Olson gave birth to Alex Lee McElhenney at home in the Los Angeles area Wednesday.
